Aside from being technically strong, Anita Davis Dance Theater is a group of collaborative artists of many backgrounds. Our talents range from film editing and performance poetry to composing our own music for modern dance choreography. We are also artists with a cause. We all have something to say and a strong voice. With every piece that we present on stage there is always a strong message and concept. Unlike other companies we are unique in that there is literally a story being told on stage that is specifically meant to say something. The audience doesn’t always have to get what we are saying, but they will certainly feel it. We speak about war, America, racism, and life. We incorporate all of our backgrounds in the performing arts to give one amazing show that stimulates visually and challenges the audience to look deeper.
